Kanika Gupta is a freelance journalist and a photographer based in New Delhi with a nose for unique stories. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Delhi University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication from Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Her articles have appeared in India101, Kashmir Ink, Fodors, and Inc Arabia. She also did a coffee table book on Amarnath Yatra as an official photographer for Central Reserve Police Force to commemorate the collaboration of Indian government with the local Kashmiris in conducting a mass pilgrimage.
She blogs extensively on Kashmir and its syncretic culture along with many other off-beat destinations, most notably Afghanistan. She lives between Delhi and Srinagar.
